Was there anything they really disliked?

Wake me at 5:40, supervise coffee, sleep on the laptop until noon, patrol the shelves, then eleven hours of loud opinions.

Did you have a little ritual together?

He met me at the door and then walked away, complaining, all the way to the kitchen, to make his point.

How did they greet you when you came home?

Directly on top of the router, which was warm, and which explains several years of internet problems.

Where did they love to sleep or curl up?

He answered questions. Not meowed, answered, with a different sound for each one, and he got visibly annoyed if you did not reply.

What were their funny habits or quirks?

She was a five-year-old nobody could settle. I was nineteen and had no business buying a horse. We taught each other everything.

How they came into your life?

You had something to say about everything for twelve years. I would give anything for one more argument.
